Gain-scheduled PID controller design
Gain scheduling (GS) is one of the most popular approaches to nonlinear control design and it is known that GS controllers have a better performance than robust ones. Following the terminology of control engineering, linear parameter-varying (LPV) systems are time-varying plants whose state space matrices are fixed functions of some vector of varying parameters. Our approach is based on conside...
متن کاملDesign of Gain Scheduled Fuzzy PID Controller
An adaptive fuzzy PID controller with gain scheduling is proposed in this paper. The structure of the proposed gain scheduled fuzzy PID (GS_FPID) controller consists of both fuzzy PI-like controller and fuzzy PD-like controller. Both of fuzzy PI-like and PD-like controllers are weighted through adaptive gain scheduling, which are also determined by fuzzy logic inference. A modified genetic algo...
متن کاملRobust H2 switching gain-scheduled controller design for switched uncertain LPV systems
In this article, a new approach is proposed to design robust switching gain-scheduled dynamic output feedback control for switched uncertain continuous-time linear parameter varying (LPV) systems. The proposed robust switching gain-scheduled controllers are robustly designed so that the stability and H2-gain performance of the switched closed-loop uncertain LPV system can be guaranteed even und...
متن کاملRobust Gain–scheduled Pid Controller Design for Uncertain Lpv Systems
A novel methodology is proposed for robust gain-scheduled PID controller design for uncertain LPV systems. The proposed design procedure is based on the parameter-dependent quadratic stability approach. A new uncertain LPV system model has been introduced in this paper. To access the performance quality the approach of a parameter varying guaranteed cost is used which allowed to reach for diffe...
متن کاملA gain-scheduled PID controller for propofol dosing in anesthesia
A gain-scheduled proportional-integral-derivative controller is proposed for the closed-loop dosing of propofol in anesthesia (with the bispectral index as a controlled variable). In particular, it is shown that a different tuning of the parameters should be used during the infusion and maintenance phases. Further, the role of the noise filter is investigated.
